The terms and conditions detailed below apply to all bookings made with Glenbervie House & Country Estate, whether via the individual venue website or by telephone or otherwise. Please note that for promotional bookings the relevant additional terms and conditions should be consulted.

When you make a booking, your contract (which shall include these terms and conditions) will be with Glenbervie House & Country Estate.

Dinner reservations & spa treatments times cannot be guaranteed on line. If your booking includes dinner, please contact the venue direct to book your slot prior to completion of your online booking. Please note that the price being offered currently cannot be guaranteed should you not complete your booking at this stage.

All rates featured on the Glenbervie House & Country Estate website or quoted by telephone or otherwise are offered subject to availability and Glenbervie House & Country Estate reserves the right to refuse any booking for good reason.

Glenbervie House & Country Estate offers a choice of room only, bed and breakfast or dinner, bed and breakfast rates. All prices are subject to availability.

Pricing

We offer a full range of packages and pricing, as detailed below. Our packages and pricing will fluctuate depending on availability and demand at any given time. All prices are subject to change without notice. Prices are subject to availability and are inclusive of VAT at the current prevailing rate. Your price is guaranteed once you have been given a confirmation number.

Advance Purchase Rate

In general, our Advance Purchase rates are available 7 days or more before the date of arrival (exceptions may apply on selected dates), and are fully prepaid at time of booking. Advance Purchase Rates are non refundable and non transferable. The credit/debit card used to book the Advance Purchase rate must be presented to reception on arrival at the venue. Please note that failure to do so will result in an alternative payment method being required.

Best Flexible Rate

In general, our Best Flexible Rates are available until the day of arrival. These rates allow you to alter or cancel your booking up until 12 Noon, 48 hours prior to the day of arrival without charge. Cancellations made after this time will incur a one night’s room charge.

Promotion & Partnership Rates

These rates will require a promotion code. Separate terms and conditions may apply which will take precedence over these standard booking terms and conditions.

For the avoidance of doubt, your price does not include any incidental charges which you may incur during your stay (including, by way of example only, in respect of your use of the venue’s bar and the costs of external telephone calls from your room). Such charges will be payable by you on your departure and, in the event that you fail to pay any such incidental charges, it is a condition of your contract with Glenbervie House & Country Estate that you irrevocably authorise Glenbervie House & Country Estate to debit your credit or debit card (see ‘Deposits and Pre-payments’ below) for the amount of any shortfall.

What the Price Includes

Prices for breaks include twin or double bedrooms (single room for single guests) with colour TV, direct dial telephone and private en-suite bathroom.

Availability

During major sporting events, social events, conference and exhibitions certain rates may not be available. Certain dates may be subject to a minimum length of stay. All rates are subject to availability.

Executive & Feature Rooms

Executive, Deluxe, Four Poster Rooms and Suites may be available at a supplement per night. Generally these rooms offer more space. Family rooms may be available. Please ask for details at time of booking.

Single Guests

Individual guests using a double or twin room for sole occupancy (where available) may benefit from a reduced rate at the venue. These rooms may carry a supplement each night. Please ask at the time of booking.

Children

Children under the age of twelve can stay free on a bed & breakfast basis at the venue when sharing a room with two paying adults. Children from the ages of 12 to 15 years will be charged at £15.00 per child per night when sharing a room with two paying adults. Availability of suitable rooms is limited and portable beds may need to be used where such accommodation is sought. The venue concerned will determine whether a room is suitable for the purpose of this offer. Children staying in their own room will be charged 50% of the full adult rate paid by the accompanying adults.

Guests with Impaired Mobility

The venue offers a selection of modified facilities for guests with impaired mobility. Whilst not having special facilities, have mainly level access to public areas and accessible bathrooms. Guests with impaired mobility or other particular requirements should check with their chosen venue in advance that their requirements can be met. Please call the venue direct for details.

Dogs

The venue is able to accommodate dogs, at the manager’s discretion, a daily charge of £10.00 per pet, per evening will be applied to your reservations and is payable on departure from the venue.

Car Parking

Car parking is complimentary to all guests.

Checking In and Out – Arrival and Departure

Rooms and lodges are available from 3pm on the day of arrival. Rooms must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure, unless otherwise sanctioned at the discretion of the venue manager.

Meal Arrangements

Rates which include breakfast offer a full traditional or continental breakfast with tea or coffee, unless stated otherwise. Rates which include dinner offer a choice from the venue’s Grill Room menu. An allowance of £25.00 per adult is allocated towards dining from the Grill Room menu. There is no refund for meals which are not taken by guests and lunch cannot be taken in place of dinner.

Health, Leisure and Wellbeing

Please check online for the range of facilities at the venue. A charge will be made for the use of certain facilities, such as spa treatments and personal training classes. Your use of such facilities is subject to any particular terms and conditions applying at the venue at which you have placed your booking.
Under 16’s are not permitted to use the gym or any of our thermal suites. They must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times when using any other available leisure facility. Under 8’s are not permitted to use the spa pools, saunas and steam rooms. In some instances children splash times may be restricted, please check the Spa & Fitness website page of the venue for more information.

Booking Information

Our Reservations Team is available to take your booking seven days a week from 8.30am to 7.00pm Monday to Friday and 9.00am to 5.30pm Saturday and Sunday.

When you make your booking you will be asked to guarantee your booking with a valid debit/credit card if booked on Best Flexible Rate, or to prepay if booked on our Advance Purchase Rates, partnership or promotional rates.

Group Bookings

A booking of ten rooms or more is classified as a group and is subject to our Group Terms & Conditions of business, which differ from our Best Available and Advance Purchase rates. Please contact our Reservations team for further details.

Balance of Monies Outstanding

Prior to your departure from the venue you will be required to settle your bill.

On arrival you will be asked to produce a valid credit card for the venue to take pre-authorisation. If you are settling your account in cash or with a debit card, you will be asked for a deposit to cover the cost of your room for your stay (any extras which you may incur in the venue will not be chargeable to your room account). Glenbervie House & Country Estate accepts all major credit cards, including MasterCard, Visa and American Express.

Alternatively, payment can be made by cheque supported by a current cheque guarantee card. The credit/debit card used to book the Advance Purchase rate must be presented to reception on arrival at the venue.

Gift Vouchers & Voucher Prizes

Glenbervie House & Country Estate gift vouchers should be presented on check-in, when paying for your meal or on arrival.

Gift vouchers and vouchers used as competition prizes, unless otherwise specified on the voucher, are valid for one year from date of issue.

Cancellation & Amendments

All cancellations are made in accordance with the cancellation terms of the rate booked.

Advance Purchase Rates are non refundable and non transferable and full pre-payment will be forfeited.
Best Flexible Rates may be cancelled up until 12 Noon, 48 hours prior to the date of arrival without charge, after which a charge for the first night’s accommodation shall be payable.

Promotion and Partnership rates may only be cancelled in accordance with the specific terms applying to that rate which will be advised at the time of booking.

A cancellation number must be obtained to ensure that minimum charges are levied.

Whilst every effort is made to fulfil any particular requests which you may make in relation to your stay with us, please note that these requests do not form part of our contract and we cannot guarantee that we will be able to meet any particular requests.

In the unlikely event that we have to change or cancel your reservation, we reserve the right to do so. However, you have the right to:

  • accept the changed arrangements as notified;
  • or make alternative arrangements with another venue;
  • or cancel your reservation and receive a full refund of any monies which you have paid to Glenbervie House & Country Estate in respect of your reservation (please note that we shall not be liable for any sums which you have paid to any other persons in connection with your reservation).

For the avoidance of doubt, we shall have no further liability to you for any changes to or the cancellation of any stay with us.

Complaints or Comments

Any complaint or comment regarding a stay at one of our venues should be made in the first instance to the venue’s duty manager at the time of your stay so that it can be resolved at the time.

Problems which cannot be resolved there and then should be notified in writing to the venue’s General Manager.

General Information

Although every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information set out on our websites and marketing campaigns, we cannot accept responsibility for any errors or omissions, and reserve the right to vary, amend, supplement or cancel any of the information or offers featured on our websites or email campaigns or otherwise at any time.

All details are correct at time of going to print, however may be subject to change from time to time.
Glenbervie House & Country Estate shall not be responsible for any loss or damage which you may suffer arising out of events beyond its control or the control of its suppliers (including, without limitation, fire, failure of electrical, gas or other power supplies, strikes, industrial action, terrorist activity, technical problems with transport, illness of entertainers and bad weather), nor for any curtailment, cancellation or change to any accommodation, activity or itinerary or any other consequences which arise as a result of such events.

For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in these terms and conditions shall operate to attempt to exclude or limit Glenbervie House & Country Estate’s liability for the death or personal injury of any person caused by the negligence of Glenbervie House & Country Estate, its employees, servants or agents or to attempt to exclude or limit Glenbervie House & Country Estate liability in any manner which would be unlawful.

These terms and conditions shall be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction in which the venue you make your booking is situated.
